Hello, many of my watchers who might read this, or you've been linked to this particular post either by forum or personal invite, welcome. I'd like you to read this bit about my goals and personal take on my commissions and their real meaning. Of course, you can just skip down and see my examples and prices.
I'd like to just start out by saying that I'm always fair in my business; work first pay later. I never like being payed for work I have yet to complete. Even if I'm cheated out of the money for the work I've done it doesn't get me down because albeit the more I do the more practice I have at getting to where I wish to be with my art.
Now before I move onto new prices and additional commission choices I'd like to address my goals and what essentially I'll be profiting from (not money wise, experience wise).
I will start pushing my envelope here as I've recently done a commission thats lasted over a month because I constantly was pushing me towards something I've never really done. And it turned out way better than expected. I'm making these areas cheaper so more will be willing to help me improve, the money is just something thats more encouraging. Professionals always tell me I'm better off raising my prices to make it look like my arts well worth that money. But whats more worth it is what I get out of it as an artist, not a salesperson.
